I love capturing photos of plants, food and non-living things because I always believe, although they are not human, but they do have their own expression and emotion yet to be read and appreciated.

Family Short Trip to Bukit Tinggi

No special occasion, no special celebration, no special guest... most probably me and my parents were looking for a break during the weekend and so, I suggested Colmar Tropicale Bukit Tinggi and right away my dad said yes! (usually he preferred to go somewhere without me).

Here we are!
I haven't been to Colmar Tropicale Bukit Tinggi since... I forgot. Everything seems the same, except it's not as happening as last time, some shop become more commercial. I remember last time there are souvenir shops, selling some unique item, then art room, for the tourist to do painting on plaster or what, French restaurant and so on, but now, it's non other than a mini size of fun fair. A bit disappointed about that, but I'm still very happy, because my dream is to travel to overseas with my parents.

The entrance

One of the prize if you score in the game

Used to be the French Restaurant, I'm not sure whether it was close during the day or it has ceased operation.

The tower, allow you to have an overall view of this area

View from the tower, very nice roof top, just that, the view will be better if there were more people and more happening on the street.

Another view from the tower, let's sing -

The hills are alive with the sound of music
With songs they have sung for a thousand years
The hills fill my heart with the sound of music
My heart wants to sing every song it hears

My heart wants to beat like the wings of the birds
that rise from the lake to the trees
My heart wants to sigh like a chime that flies
from a church on a breeze
To laugh like a brook when it trips and falls over
stones on its way
To sing through the night like a lark who is learning to pray

I go to the hills when my heart is lonely
I know I will hear what I've heard before
My heart will be blessed with the sound of music
And I'll sing once more

The weather is cooler there, so, we are able to see some beautiful flowers

Now they collect entrance fees (they do so previously?)
RM10 per person, including the entrance to Colmar Tropicale and Japanese Village and shutter to either places.

We had our lunch there, in the Italian restaurant, food quite authentic and nice, wonder how is the restaurant surviving throughout these year, because really, not many people visit to the place.

Got the carriage somemore

The black swans... so pretty

The white swan (there are actually 2), I still remember them... but are they the one that I saw before?

This swan very funny, we've been standing there for almost 15 minutes, wait for him/ her to stop scratching his/ her body so we could take a picture of him/ her nicely...but, till we left, he/ she was repeating the same action.

Next, we took shutter van to Japanese village, should have more photos but my camera is run out of battery (because this is a spontaneous trip, I also didn't realize I've not been charging my camera for quite a period of time).

Japanese village is still awesome, all building and plants are well maintain, hey people, we should really go support our local tourism...

p/s: the road to Bukit Tinggi is under construction (when I went there), so, there is an alternative road, a bit farther than the original one, as long as you are following the road sign, reaching there isn't an issue. Just that people with motion sickness need to get yourself prepared.

Toward the evening, on the way back, we turned in to the Bentong village for fruits, then Gohtong Jaya for dinner... what a pleasant day!

Kuala Terengganu

Sometimes, I need to travel to very far (not too far la, still within the country) for work, eg. Kangar (Perlis), Kota Bahru (Kelantan), Sibu (East Malaysia), Terengganu... Usually I will choose to fly to these area instead of driving, driving for me at my age is a bit taxing... haih... aging, aging. However, flying sometimes are quite tiring as well, because I usually prefer to start my day earlier and end earlier, so, if possible, I will fly the earliest flight, 7am or 8am in the morning. Take 7am flight as an example, by 6am I need to be at the airport, from home to airport, the journey take about 1 hour, means I need to depart from home at 5am, you know, girls got so much to do before leaving home, shower, changing, putting my eyes, ears, mouth and nose together... so, I need to wake up at 4am... If I fly 2 days in a week, it's enough to kill me already.

If I'm taking Malaysia Airlines, I will usually take KLIA transit to airport
environmental friendlier, faster, easier and cheaper... (truely 平靓正, I think this is the best public transport in town)

KLIA Transit - Bandar Tasik Selatan
the station which is only 15 minutes drive away from my house

I like seeing cloud in the plane if I was still awaken
Look at the picture... there were 2 layers of cloud, lower layer, the cloud looks like cotton buds, upper layer, like a thin layer of comforter... beautiful!!!

"Cuti-cuti Malaysia" to Kuala Terengganu, traveling along the seaside and eating local tidbit by the seaside after work... how relaxing.

The floating mosque in Kuala Terengganu - Masjid Tengku Tengah Zaharah
When I was driving on my own, I usually will stop by some places when I saw interesting scenery, building, ppl and etc. But when I was traveling with my Centre operator, usually I don't request them to stop, unless they recommend me the place, like the previous trip to Terengganu, while the operator sending me back to airport from Dungun, he mentioned this mosque to me, and he asked if I want to take a picture there (see, they know me so well, my camera is 24/7 in my bag), yup, why not!
The mosque is not as big as I expected, but it is absolutely stunning, it is like a pretty lady always admiring her beauty in front of the mirror.
Renovated airport... very beautiful and full of color of culture.

Beautiful flowers near the airport... Too early to check in, doesn't has car to go far, the most I can do was walking around, taking pictures.

The entrance to the arrival hall

Corridor from arrival hall to carpark
I wish this will not be my last time to Terengganu, but I do wish that, my next visit to Terengganu will be for holiday...
p/s: yes, I've resigned from my company, will not need to "cuti-cuti Malaysia" already...

Attracted to Books after Library?

I never thought that I'm a book person since young, I only read when there's an exam, I can read (because usually my score was okay in exam), just that reading is never my option to kill time or take reading as my hobby.

Lately, I'm facing a dilemma, and I think "Somebody" has sent me a signal. I seldom go through newspaper page by page, the most, I read about some entertainment news (with photos then only I read) or advertisement (picture again) or horoscope reading of the day. But in an off day weekend (I need to work during alternate Saturday), I bought 2 copies of newspaper, and I went through (force myself to) page by page and I was lead to a good book recommendation column, there were 3 books in that column - Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and Q and A by Vikas Swarup (aka Slumdog Millionaire's author).

My good friend once mention and recommend me Kite Runner (the movie), but I don't think the movie was showing in any cinema in KL, so, I got an impression, the book must be a good one, then, I personally very attracted to The Alchemist. So, without a second thought, I grabbed my car key, run to the nearest bookstore and bought these 2 books at a shot (Q&A, I haven't has an interest in that book yet).

I'm an impatient person, if I choose the English version, I knew, I gotta check dictionary from time to time, so, Chinese will be good for me at this moment, while I got to cultivate some reading interest in me first.

The Alchemist

Kite Runner

I even bought a cute bookmark to encourage myself to continue reading

and stickers too...

When I bought back these 2 books, guess which one I read first?
- The Alchemist

When I'm writing this, I've already finished The Alchemist (I finish this book in a week, for me this is quite fast, and I'm very proud of myself for this), now half way reading Kite Runner. As expected, it's an interesting book, sparked me in some where, I couldn't express how a book can change my thought, but it just did! Kite Runner is quite touching as well, I haven't finish the book, but I can tell, it is also a good book.
I have been actively recommended this book to some of my friends too! So, Mr. Soo, please read and return my book in it's original condition, my order!!!

p/s: is it because I have been to the Library (the gastropub) the weekend before that made me wonder in the world of book? hehe...

Dangerous Lady Driver in Town

This year, I was trying to be extra extra careful when I was driving, because 1stly, early this year, most feng shui sifu on TV for CNY shows said that, ppl born in the year of Monkey will have a lot of traveling in work, higher rate of traveling = higher risk (yea, sometimes I'm quite 38 with fortune telling or feng shui), 2ndly, age catching up, I used to drive up to Perlis (northest state of penisular Malaysia) from KL (about 5 or 6 hours of drive), but now, even I drive from JB to KL (about 4 hours of drive), I nearly fell asleep half way.

But, one thing I can't help, when I saw something interesting in front of me/ nice view from the car side mirror, I always have the urge to snap down the scene/ view. So, I wonder, will the car next to me or in front or at the back of me report to police? hahaha

On my way to Ipoh from Taiping
Saw the rain pouring down in front of me, isn't it interesting?

On my way back home from office
Sunset in my side mirror
so warm and calm...

On my way back to KL from Seremban
nice sky

same, on my way back to KL from Seremban

Thanks to the radio, music and great natural painting by GOD, they are always my best companions on the road!!

人"望"高处 vs. 饮水思源

Sorry for English readers... this will be a Chinese post.

My Knitted Top

After knitting some items to others, finally I have decided to at least knit one for myself... ta da...

I have to wear a tube or something inside... I haven't has an occasion to wear it... hehe
but I really like the outcome... what do you think about it?

Tracks Playing NOW

I love Chinese songs, my friend will know, I seldom sing an English song in Karaoke, unless my friends has selected and asked me to sing along. And in the Chinese music industry, I have been waited so long for a good album since ..... erm... I can't remember since when I have never heard an album with tracks that I like them all. As I only support original, I spent less in buying albums d.

But, lately, I can't help, really can't help, I'm in love with this album, Simple/ Not Simple by Huang Hsiao Hu. I told my friend, I am going to own this... now, her CD is all time rested in my mini compo, and I play it every night before I go to bed.

10 lovely tracks, and highlighted in red are my favorite:

01. 破牆
02. 沒那麼簡单
03. 殼

04. 沒完沒了
05. 最愛的人
06. 伴
07. 不要停
08. 誤點
09. 怎麼這樣
10. 說膩晚安

p/s: see I purposely turn to the pictures of hers, showing beautiful long legs... slurp~~~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Then, another long waited... Jacky Cheung - Private Corner
I read some critics about this album, mostly not very favorable, but, I still like it and it's beyond words can explain my excitement when I'm holding the album in my hands.
The tracks:
01. 迷你
02. Double Trouble
03. 不只有緣
04. 十二個音
05. 月巴女且
06. 戀上你背面
07. Let It Go
08. 找對你
09. 伯爵茶
10. Everyday is Christmas (English)
Not everyone can sing jazz, unless you are either very skillful or the singer's voice is resonant enough... just like you won't ask a soprano to sing jazz right? Jazz is always related to soul, blue, sexy..., for me, you don't have to have a perfect voice, but you must be able to show the spirit of jazz, and this make singing jazz a great challenge. I think, Jacky Cheung can sing jazz very well!!! Jacky Cheung - my forever idol!!!
Anti-aging Battle Game
I would say... say out loud, I'm lucky!! I never had to worry much about my skin since young, even in my adolescent, the oil glands were slight hyperactive, however the pimples were still very kind/ gentle to me, all credits goes to my parents... thanks for their genes and my mom high soy diet during her pregnancy.
Since college, some of my friends had started to visit some skincare centers, buying facial packages... but, this has never come across my mind that I need to get one for myself too, in fact, I'm pretty proud of my skin for helping me to save so much on it.
But, lately I begin to hear some noise from my skin, she told me she can no longer help me to suppress the melanin from appearing on my cheek, she even told me her enemy - "aging" is getter stronger than her immune system, pimples invade her territory. That's why, I can no longer take my skin for granted anymore... I got to do something to help her fight back to "aging".
I'm wondering, as I'm getting older, theoretically my oil glands will become less active right? But I have quite some breakouts lately. Why? I am thinking, this is probably due to moist lost (during my intensive traveling and long hour expose in air-conditioned room).
One day when I was shopping with my dearest girl friends - Kitman, we came across this brand - Hada Labo where they had a promotion counter in some Guardian pharmacy stores. And I knew this product might able to help me after a full explanation from the sales girl. Me and Kitman with no 2nd thought, each of us grab one immediately.
I bought their star product - Super Hyaluronic Acid Moiturizing Lotion, which claims to be No. 1 face lotion in Japan, 1 sold every 4 seconds in Japan, one drop locks up an ocean...
and I bought a cleanser in this moisturizing care series too.
I haven't start to use the cleanser yet, but after using the "one drop locks up an ocean" lotion for 4 days, I noticed my skin become more radiant!!
Next, I'm going to try sleeping mask...
Stay Tune...
