I love capturing photos of plants, food and non-living things because I always believe, although they are not human, but they do have their own expression and emotion yet to be read and appreciated.

陈奕迅 - 一丝不挂

作词:林夕
作曲:Christopher Chak
编曲:Gary Tong
监制:Alvin Leong

Misc...

Last couple of months, I've been traveling and flying intensively, to east coast, perlis, kedah... and because I'm leaving the company, I treasured each and every time I fly... airport will never be my favourite place, because em... I'm mostly alone, that place is too cold, not the temperature, but the overall feeling when I was there... maybe airport management should hire a clown or bring a circus in airport... hehe

I'm not a big fans to public transport, merely because in KL, it's more convinient to drive than stuffing yourself into a train or bus. However, I like taking KLIA transit to KLIA, it's convenient, fast and comfortable... a a, not doing any advertisement for them, but this is what I feel.

Do you see this train is coming my way or leaving?
sometimes, happy or sad, they are just divided by a thin line, broaden your view and you will definately see more...

A pair of good shoes is essential, because they will bring you farther. I like wearing this pair of shoes, they look pretty and good in my feet, but, they are not comfortable at all...
I don't like changes, yes, I got a very high tolerancy, easy to adapt, well, those are my strength I guess, but I'm also lazy to get use to new thing, people and place... However when there's time to change, although it might not be logical, you just have to follow your heart.

I feel sorry for my selfness, being so might hurt others, I just wish to stand strong to who I am. Wish me luck, lots of LUCK!!!

A Pleasant Saturday!

22.05.10

It was my off-day Saturday... and that afternoon I had an appointment to meet an old old friend, a birthday treat to this long lost contact friend and I was extremely looking forward and happy about it.

But 2 days before it, I made a mistake, and this mistake has made my heart pump to almost dead... I forgot the restaurant that we were suppose to meet and I have no other way to contact this friend other than MSN... but of course last minute, I manage to catch this fellow online and confirmed everything. phew~

"Saturday" in those time (time before June 2010) is precious for me... it's the only day in every fortnight I can settle some of my stuff... So, before the meet up, I got an appointment to do my pre-employment checkup (yea... I changed job will new job started 1st of June).

The panel clinic is a pretty old clinic in PJ old town... and the environment is kind of scary...

I didn't do any adjustment of the color... my skin kind of pale with the lighting in the clinic...

Look at this picture... when I was sitting there, waiting for my turn to go in for my X-ray... I thought I was in a clinic which is doing abortion or what... hahhaha watching too many scary movie and I am being over imaginative...

Then I rushed back to buy ingredient for making a cake as gift and I have actually forgot about my breakfast until my mom asked me...

the ingredient plus my breakie Yakult and bread

Thanks God... the cake turned out nice and on time...
It's a simple cake... that's my style and what I like - basic and simple, but the 2 strawberries fell from the cake when I'm sending it to it's owner. opps, sorry...
I hope this friend will not "disappear" again and I am not hoping our next meet up is probably 5 years later? :<
After lunch... I met another group of friends for tea, long tea cum dinner... all of us like not willing to go home before our minds were real exhausted.
Running here and there is tiring, for sure... but I always enjoy being company with friends... chatting, laughing for no reasons...

While Waiting...

Although Malaysia is a tropical country, I think we still have different "seasons", raining season (toward the end of the year), sunny season (around CNY), flower season (after CNY), fruiting season (after flower season)... If I can only choose a specific one that I like... I will choose fruiting season... it's very happy to see what you plant (effort that you put in) reward you with fruits. Of course not all flower can become a fruit... but at least, when you see flower, there's something you can look forward... some ppl like to be in "expecting" phase...

I think these are same species with different sex

I took these pictures while I was waiting for my ex-colleague to pass me company car @ UE3...
Sometimes, we just need to slow down to see what we have in hand, see, while waiting, I have the green and colourful flowers as company...
When is your last time appreciate wonderful stuff surrounding you?

2010 Mother's Day Lunch

Initially... as usual, I planned to cook for my mom for Mother's day, but mom said... "save the trouble, just go out to eat will do." OKAY... the first that cross my mind was Nobel House, I read their adv in newspaper before, they have individual set. (this is a brilliant promo strategy for small family which doesn't have 10 ppl to order the set menu in restaurant).

I made reservation for 3 on Mother's day at 1.30pm. Understand the portion might be huge, so I warned my parents not to take too much for breakfast. Because eating too little, we actually felt our stomachs growling before the time.

Luckily, I've made a reservation, so, the dishes serve pretty soon as we sat down after couple cup of tea. Since, we all very hungry... I actually forgot to take picture of our first dish, soft shell crab as starter, which is very very fabulous...

2nd dish - old cucumber soup with fish fins
yummy... what a good warm up

3rd dish - Tuna

4th - vegetarian goose meat + fried pigeon
I used to think Steven's Corner has the best fried pigeon, but this is way tastier

5th - stew rice with abalone dice
Although this is a little too salty... still yummy

6th - manggo dessert with ice-cream float
Like eating French, dishes were served one by one... although each of them weren't very big, but, after finishing the 6 dishes... it's real satisfying...
Each pax is RM78++
(Might be a little too pricy, but, the satisfaction projected on my parents' faces is pricelss)

Kampung Titi (02.05.10)

Well... this is another outing with family, not a pre-plan thingy, it's... how can I describe this... em... it's another "cheer-me-up" trip, why? I'm a person who do not know how to "poker-up" myself, sometimes for others, this is kind of irritating, "who the hell are you? why do I need to entertain your black face?", but family, they have no choice, or I can say, it's because of love...

On a wonderful morning, as usual, we had breakfast at Kuchai Lama, this time, Nippy Noodle Restaurant, famous of their noodle which the dough is kneaded with bamboo...

The bbq pork was so yummy so, we order another dish, only the bbq pork
noodle... well, sorry, I can't tell the difference

My dad is super particular with his coffee, so, we usually will go to those cafe shop for our drinks... we went opposite to K3K and see this huge curry puff in the glass display... we decided to take this along with our drinks. After taking a bite, we realised we were being over greedy and sorry to our poor stomachs

During the breakfast... my dad and mom were discussing about Kg. Titi, I heard that name too, but I have no idea where is it. So, I checked through the web/ blogs...

I felt cheated by this map... it's seem near, but yet... it's quite difficult to reach
After uncountable twist and turn, up and down... sitting in the car with such a road condition plus full tank of food in stomach was not funny...

I read a couple of blogs, they were suggesting kuih and some hakka dishes
and since we were just over-loaded with food, kuih would be good for lunch
it's amazing to see variety of kuih there... some, used to be my childhood favourite
(btw, I grown up in a hakka village too - Pekan Ampang)

This whole shop is selling kuih at the main road

Kg. Titi main road...

tada... the black - chu yap (in hakka), the black is extracted from a type of leaf and the filling is pickle vege... the white - law pet ban (in hakka too), made of gluteneous rice flour and the filling is reddish stir fried with sun-dried shell shrimp... chu yap is quite interesting but I like my mom's home made law pet ban better

this is another kuih... if not mistaken, they named it 'husband biscuit' with coconut floss... not bad, worth trying

After eating something sweet + 100 plus, my headache had actually subsided, my parents actually wanted to buy pineapple, which a lot of ppl said Kg. Titi produce very good pineapple. But when we were asking around, the local ppl said it was not pineapple season yet... then we went to the eco garden, which I saw online... it is not open that day... what a bad timing...

To make our trip more worthwhile, we decided to try every special food recommended by bloggers... (another over-loading session)

'doggy duck'
marinated and cook the duck with spices... thumbs up
was wondering why doggy? is it because the spices that they use used to cook dog meat too?

dried oyster wrapped in fish paste...
this is different from what my mom style, my mom usually chop the dried oyster together with fish paste, then she will fry it before top with oyster sauce.

Kg. Titi is a very small village, there's nothing much we can do, so, we left the place using another path (we were terrified by the road of which we used earlier), to Seremban and using North South highway back to KL... but... this so called alternative make not much different lo :(
