I love capturing photos of plants, food and non-living things because I always believe, although they are not human, but they do have their own expression and emotion yet to be read and appreciated.

Digi Yellow Men!

"I'll follow you..."

Remember the Digi advertisement? Especially the Chinese New Year one, feng shui sifu pointing at a corner and said, "好旺(黄)啊,里度好旺(黄)啊!", actually he is pointing at the Digi yellow man and the Digi yellow man acted 无辜(innocent). And another advertisement, you will see that before your movie start in cinema. The gangster said "Who care, I'm dai go ma!" and the yellow man next to him was crying and acted "pai se"... I think this yellow man "strategy" is so successful... not to forget the "Fu-yoh" slogan also.

So, last Saturday Shook Fun, Keat, Siow Hui, Kelvin and me went to 988 anniversary celebration party and Digi, being one of the main sponsors, has sent a few yellow man walking around and teasing people. When we saw them, wah, we were like little kids seeing cute mascot, wanted to take photo with them but feel a little bit scare. They were all wearing yellow suit and boots, face was colored with yellow paint (but when we reached, I think the paint was faded due to heavy sweat). Inside their suit, they were all stuffed with cushion, so they can looked fat, all of them actually sweat like nobody business, even when we were touching them, we can feel their suit were all wet.

At last, of course we did take photos with them... see

Read this from a friend's blog and find it interesting. Let's try it yourself!

You Are 45% Vain

You're a little vain, but more than anything you have a healthy amount of confidence.
Thinking the world of yourself is great. Just don't think less of those who aren't as pretty as you!

Hooked on You

Miss [m
is], n(对未婚女子的称呼)姑娘,小姐

Miss [mis] vt/i Miss sth out省掉;遗漏.

(English version)

I’ve watched a HK movie today – Hooked on You, acted by Miriam Yeung and Eason Chan. Actually I always like to watch HK movie, but sometimes I missed it because nobody want to watch HK movie with me. I didn’t expect much from this movie, we decided to watch it just because I like Miriam. I thought I was just a simple comedy, yes, it is still a comedy but with some inspiring factors.

Story begins with a narration from the main character, Ah Miu, she said she has learned an English word from somebody who doesn’t know English, and the word is “MISS”. “MISS” has multiple meaning, but which meaning first cross your mind? For me, the first meaning that came to my mind was “to regret the absence or loss of something” (I miss you).

Miss [mis], n Used as a courtesy title before the surname or full name of a girl or single woman.

Miss [mis] vt/i 1 to fail to hit or strike, to fail to encounter, meet, catch 2 to regret the absence or loss of, 3 to fail to perceive or understand n a failure to hit something, an omission.

Summary of the story see following websites:

Yesterday I have read an article, which the author was sharing some romantic stuff that her ex-bf has done to her. After reading, I was thinking, have I ever do something romantic or when was the most romantic moment that I have ever experienced? I have asked a few guy friends, and my best friend answered me like this, when you are with the right person, whatever you do together with that person, it can be romantic, e.g. having a nice dinner or watching a movie with him/her. Today, surprisingly, I got a similar answer in the movie. In the movie, Ah Miu said she want a Gucci wallet with Prada design. So, the fish man (Eason Chan) bought her a wallet and wrapped with an advertisement page in a magazine. In the advertisement, there’s a meaningful sentence saying, Romance can be manage and touch is a feeling accumulated in your life (I hope I translate the sentence right). But, Ah Miu missed it because Fish Man helped her unwrapped the gift before she read the sentence.

The “MISS” in the movie wasn’t talking about “missing somebody”, but “missed out something”. Due to a “non-sense” principle of Ah Miu, she has missed a lot of opportunities when she was pursuing her dream. She always wanted to pay off her father’s dept before 30 and married a guy who worthwhile marrying. Before 30, she is very clear with what she want; but after 30, although she has fulfilled half of her dream, she paid off all her father’s dept and she has a satisfying career, but relationship wise, she was lost, or in other way of saying, she has missed a guy who is worthwhile marrying due to her “non-sense” principle.

I sort of saw myself in the movie, me and Ah Miu has a similarity, we missed a lot of things in 10 years, however, after 10 years, Ah Miu finally know what she want but I’m still finding my way out.
