I love capturing photos of plants, food and non-living things because I always believe, although they are not human, but they do have their own expression and emotion yet to be read and appreciated.

Harry's B1 Korean Charcoal BBQ Restaurant (Autocity, Penang)

Heard of Autocity? It's a new youngster (but I saw not only youngster... got a lot of old-ster there as well) hang out place in Penang (mainland), if you never heard of it, then you are out! haha...

During my trip to northern Malaysia business trip... I went to Autocity twice... Ist night were just hanging out there, meet up with Lingtze, lepak around the night bazaar and yum cha there. You know, when we were lepaking around the night bazaar, we bought nothing but children cloth for our kai zai... I think, luckily we have kai zai, if kai lui, sure we will be very broke... because the baby girl dresses are all very very sweet and beautiful...

Then we thought of catching up a drink or eat something light, but, we end up at a bistro... which sell only alcoholic drink. We were attracted by the band singing on the 1st floor of a restaurant, we thought it was a "ming ge" restaurant. We walked up, found a very cool place, looked at the menu and found nothing to eat. The waiter said kitchen has closed and they served only alcoholic drink... gosh...

The next day, we decided to go to Autocity again, for dinner this time. Lingtze introduce this Korean BBQ restaurant to me - Harry's B1 Korean Charcoal BBQ Restaurant

Guess what are the tube hanging up there...

It's vacumm pipe - use to suck the smoke from the BBQ stove
very good suction though, we were in an air-conditioned room but the air is well ventilated

We ordered their bbq set for two that night
Believe me, this set is enough for more than 3 person
Let's see what we have...

Must have - raw vegetable leaves, use to wrap the bbq meat

salad... raw vegetable too, but the salad sauce is nice

Classic Korean sauce

The hot charcoal

Appertiserssss
Anyone who tried Korean food before will know this is their tradition to eat variety of appertisers before the main course

Fried "bak guo"
Nice to eat it hot, it's something like noodle and they fried it with kimchi sauce

Korean mixed rice

Kimchi soup... yum, we both like this very much

There are pork and chicken, both have 2 different flavor, spicy and normal
I was talking on the phone, taking pictures... so, Lingtze did the BBQ
She is such an expert in doing it, the meat are just nice, not a percent of overcook or undercook

In the middle there was a small bowl of garlic
We read the menu, it said, the right way of eating the meat is, wrap the meat with the leaf together with the cooked garlic and spread a little Korean sauce on the meat, make it a small bite and put everything into your mouth. I have big mouth, for me, this isn't any problem... hehe
Then it also mention, the garlic suppose to eat it after cook, not in raw

Like I said, the portion is very very big, we can't finished most of the appertisers and rice, except the meat and soup...
Looking back at all these pictures, Lingtze... can you deliver a bowl of the kimchi soup to KL for me?
