I love capturing photos of plants, food and non-living things because I always believe, although they are not human, but they do have their own expression and emotion yet to be read and appreciated.

Pulau Ketam (30.08.09)

I can't remember when was the last time I been to Pulau Ketam, but that's with my parents. This time, I went with 2 pairs of couples... initially I was a little hesitate, because I'm the odd one out, but I really really miss that place... so, I treat the trip as my photo shooting trip!

Siow Hui's husband, Kelvin suggesting 2 options, drive or take public transport (KTM) there. Without 2nd thought, I opt for KTM... it's way more interesting to take the train... because... I can day dream in the train, I can enjoy the "loneliness" in the train, I can enjoy seeing passengers in the train...... since I came back from Europe, I think I started to love taking public transport.

Bak Kut Teh as breakfast... famous in Kepong

Braised pork knuckle... so yummy

Stealing an idea from a pre-wedding photographer... nice or not?

When we reached KL KTM Station (interchange station), the sky started to rain... and our train has delayed. Kelvin initially planned to reach there by 10am (if not mistaken) to catch the old boat to Pulau Ketam... but due to the delay, I were thinking most probably we will miss that boat...

My KTM ticket to Port Klang (jetty to Pulau Ketam)

The old jetty, it's under renovation, so, we were led to another temporary jetty which was 5 minutes walk away from this.

While waiting for the boat

Kid selling tissue at the jetty waiting area

New boat to Pulau Ketam, but we were not taking this... see the 5th photos below

The boat need about 45 minutes from Port Klang jetty to Pulau Ketam... but no worry, I'm best in entertaining myself.

This is the old boat that we took. We were lucky enough to catch the boat. That day was public holiday, so the boats extended their business hour... ehhee

Pulau Ketam

Pulau Ketam (Isle of Crab) of course got Ketam la

ok, after about 1 hour of wait at train station, 1 hour of ride on the train and 1 hour of ride on the boat... it's time for lunch...

this restaurant got so many ppl, the food must be very nice... so, don't waste time see see look look la... this must be the best choice.

Back to KL KTM Station

We were exhauted after few hours of riding and photo taking in the island, in short, we were all satisfied with the time spent in the island, so, we catched the 4pm boat back to jetty and take KTM back to Kepong to get our car.

Thanks both of the couples for inviting me as their light bulb, haha, I enjoyed the day very much... do you think my photography skill got brush up a bit?

Broga Hill (09.08.09)

Need I introduce anymore? Everybody... I mean most of the blogger and people living in KL/ Selangor, they all know this place or maybe some of them take that place a regular place to exercise...

Today a friend of mine just complaint that why I didn't update my blog... Vince... I posted 2 today and I'm not gonna write much because he reminded me a pictures means a thousand words... hehehe good excuse for a lazy blogger like me.

My preparation
(H2O, towel, umbralla, torch, handphones, wallet, sunglasses, extra T-shirt, biscuit and not to forget... my camera)
I departed at 4.30am from home, there was quite a distance to Semenyih from Cheras and we wanted to be up there to see sunrise.

On the way up... (panting, panting~~)
Day still very dark... the road lamp still on

See the moon?
Broga Hill is famous for the "lalang" (reeds)

I was going there with Penny, her sister and friend, Chee Hong, Joanne, Siow Hui and her husband - Kelvin. (what a combination of friend's friend, friend's friend's sister, friend's friend's friend, high school friend, college friend...)

The photographer (pro-er than me)

1st peak (reached there after about 45 minutes of climb)

morning dew

half heart... where's the other half? I wonder

Wah, it's unbelieveable... so patriotic

That's the 3rd peak (photo taken from 2nd peak)
I've done some survey, most said there are nothing to see at the 3rd peak, so, we didn't go up, another reason was... we already very hungry... can't wait to go down to eat dim sum... hehe

Sunrise...
getting more and more ppl...

Coming down is more difficult than going up, because the road was too slipery, and knees hurt due to we kept balancing ourselves.

The entrance to the hill, if you are miss this entrance... bye bye... you will end up noway.

Check out this blog... the blogger took the wrong way and thanks to him, because I've read his blog and we manage to find the right path.

Elcerdo (29.08.09)

See the title? I visited Elcerdo in Aug 2009... yes, it was 6 months back.

When I was still in Wyeth, my colleague already recommend this restaurant to me, and I always "hate" her for sharing how good is this, how good is that to me because I had not has chance to try until I planned to buy my close friend a birthday dinner treat.

My friend didn't know where will I be bringing him to eat until I hopped in to his car to the restaurant. He silence for a while, then I know:" you dined in this restaurant before?", "yes, but I will still like the food there...", he replied.

Too bad... no more surprise to him, I think I am getting more and more out-dated :(

Before I go, I already pre-ordered 2 dishes, the famous suckling pig (half) and the rib. The one who helping me to take order was trying to confirm if that's for 2 or 4... hehe, I think at that moment, she was actually trying to hint me I had "over-ordered". But I really really want to try both of the dishes... I can't give up either one of them, then in my mind, takkan we can finish them.

When I was physically there, then I know why she was trying to hint we can't finish them. Because, besides than the 2 dishes that I order, the suckling pig come with soup and salad, and the portion is really big, altough we only take half.

The soup... yumm

The corner where our table located

Drink - we ordered sangria

Iberico Spare Ribs
(I tell you... this is a must try, very very very delicious, at least more than I can describe)

Tu... the suckling pig
Look crispy...

Ya, they have this tradition, the birthday person need to knock the chop board twice with the plate then immediately, yes, immediately need to chop off the head using that plate...
Now you know how crispy is the pig right?

Finally, the birthday person need to break the plate in a pre-readied wooden tong.
Then the waitress helped us to bring the pig into the kitchen again to do the remaining chopping.

The rib was too delicious, we finished the whole portion and our stomaches were already 3/4 full... for sure, as expected by the waitress, we can't finish the pig, so... da bao la... I swear, if you were me, you won't want to waste such a delicious dish.
(you know, the 2nd day my mom use the remaining meat to cook porridge... aiyo... opps, I just swallow my saliva... hehe)

Elcerdo Special
A delectable digestive consists of spirit, wine and juices

After a meal-ful of meat... erm... how to describe the feeling after drinking this?? ya, refreshing!!!!
